- this page is dedicated to my undying love for the mother series, and serves as a representation of all of the items i've collected over the years!
when did you get into these games?
- i'd be lying if i said i could give you an exact time frame. i honestly don't even remember what led me to getting into the games in the first place! i know i started with earthbound, though.
- the best estimate i can give you is somewhere between 2014-2015! at least, i can definitely say this is where i grew the most strongly attached to them.
what do these games mean to you?
- they mean SO much. the mother series, particularly earthbound, were so influential on who i am when i first got into it. it changed my life forever!
- i got into the franchise at a particularly rough period of my life when i was dealing with a lot of trauma. the mother series gave me a sort of outlet and a level of escapism that i couldn't really find in other medias. in a weird way, it felt like home!
- these games helped me meet people who are really important to me, and i honestly would say that these games shaped me into a better person too, and generally heavily influenced my personality and life outlook.
- while i haven't necessarily been ~fixated~ on this franchise for a while now, it's still a huge special interest for me and all of my walls are plastered with posters and art of the games.
what do you like about them?
- honestly, it's hard to say just one thing about them.
- one of my favorite things has to be how sincere the games are. they're down to earth, and while they're silly still have pretty heavy themes that are handled with respect. it's a game franchise that i think is easy to project yourself onto, and will likely resonate with you.
- the spritework, art and graphics all stand out to me too, not to mention the soundtracks for the games are incredible. this is one of my favorite songs from the ost!
